My name is Sydney Spratley, and everything around me registers as art. I’ve been painting, drawing, and constructing forms for as long as I can remember, using whatever is around me, especially recycled or leftover materials, to make something new.
I’m largely self-taught, moving through art as an autodidact. Learning by doing, experimenting, and adapting in real time. Art feels as necessary as breathing. It isn’t limited to one style, medium, or outcome. I work across disciplines because I don’t believe in staying inside one lane.
My practice is rooted in transformation. I like getting my hands on materials and letting them become something else. The work lives between making and unmaking, intuition and structure, design, craft, and art. I’m always evolving.
